Weekly News

Okay…Halloween is over and we can relax  🙂 They were so cute!  I know they had a great time and you all are not eating any of their candy while they are at school….  🙂  We will work with letter sound “N” for the next two weeks.  We just finished “M” and I wonder if it will stick..if you see any words with the beginning sound M- ask them about it!  We have done B,P,H,W and M.  We review everyday and some are sticking better then others!  We will have worship tomorrow and Move and Groove special on Wednesday.
I will be sending home a turkey with your child tomorrow.  My idea is that you can “disguise” this turkey from being eaten for Thanksgiving.  We read a book about a turkey that does that and it is so funny!  On Pinterest they have lots of fun and easy ideas- this is just for fun, if you want to do it 🙂  I’ll set out a couple ideas –
Looking forward to seeing you guys tomorrow!  We sent home all the evaluations in backpacks last week.  If you don’t see one, let me know!

I’m Shannon Swim, I teach in the Jr K Giraffe room with the 4 turning 5 year olds.  This will be my 8th year at Little Blessings and I love my job!  I enjoy seeing the “light go on” with them- I love how they love to laugh and are so quick to learn and remember what we teach.  I enjoy learning myself and researching topics the are interested in and make learning fun!  We laugh a lot and work hard too- EVERYone goes home tired!   Brad and I have been married 23 year and have 3 “kids” This year all three will be in college :). Our son will graduate this December from Colorado Christian, Erica will be a sophomore at Colorado CCU.  Our baby Anna is starting at CU Colorado Springs.  So this year will look different for us!  I like being outside doing “Colorado things”, loving on my family and our animals (horse, dog and two cats!)  I have a very full life and I count it a blessing to teach this special group and get them ready for the next step!

Hello!  My name is Jennifer Branham, Ms. Jennifer.  This is my 8th year teaching at Little Blessings.  I also have 5 years experience teaching kindergarten both in Grand Junction as well as Douglas County.  I have lived in Colorado all of my life, growing up in Westminster and then going to Mesa State College where I received a degree in History and a teaching license.  I have been married to my husband for 16 years and we have 2 active boys ages 14 and 11.  We have lived in Parker for 15 years. Both of my boys are beginning new education journeys this year as they enter Ponderosa as a Freshman and Sagewood as a 6th grader.  I enjoy teaching this age group and preparing these kiddos for kindergarten.  Children this age soak up so much and their joy for learning is contagious and endearing.                                                                           Thank you for sharing your children with us!
