Ms. Megan
Hi!! My Name is Megan Shimonek and I started working at Little Blessings in 2018. I love working with preschool ages and have done so for the last 21 years. One of my biggest goals is to create an environment where all of our students love learning and love school. Some of my favorite things about working with this age group is getting to be a part of them being successful, especially when they recognize all of the new knowledge and skills they gain! I was born and raised in Colorado in the Denver metro area and moved to Parker in 2010. I’ve been married to my husband Stefan since 2006. We have 2 kids, Emma(17) and Owen(14) that will both be attending Legend High school as a Senior and a Freshman. My family and I love road trips. I joke we’re basically the Griswold’s at this point. My kids goal is to visit all 50 states and we are currently at 41 states with all 4 of us together! I am looking forward to an amazing year with the Owl class!
Ms. Krystal
Hi! My name is Krystal Taylor, and I’m so excited to be joining the Owls classroom this year!
I’ve been part of the Little Blessings community since the 2022/23 school year when my oldest son, Brooks, started as a Llama and my youngest, Luke, was a Duck. I began subbing at Little Blessings in the fall of 2023 and have loved every minute of getting to know the kiddos and their families.
While I’m new to being a classroom teacher at Little Blessings, my background is in early childhood and elementary education, and I’ve spent the last several years supporting families and young learners both in and out of the classroom. As a mom of two energetic boys, I know how important it is to create a warm, engaging environment where kids feel safe, confident, and curious.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, and volunteering with a local puppy rescue—a cause close to my heart. We regularly foster puppies and love helping them find their forever homes.
I’m truly looking forward to a year filled with growth, laughter, and lots of special memories with our Owl friends!
